At Gamescom we have learned a lot about Forza Motorsport 7, the upcoming turnaround of the Turn 10 team. In addition to the special issues we discussed this morning, Microsoft has confirmed the minimum and recommended requirements for playing Forza Motorsport 7 on PC. And here comes the surprise:
These are the official requirements for playing Forza Motorsport 7 on Windows PC in its various configurations. If we deal with the column of High Quality, the one corresponding to the quality offered in Xbox One X, we will see the requirements of processor, graphics and RAM. Well it turns out that the Intel Core i7-6700K is on sale in the market for about 310 $, while its namesake AMD, Ryzen 7 is above 440 $. As far as the graphic section is concerned, the GTX 1080 varies in price according to the manufacturer but we can establish an average of 650 $, while the AMX RX Vega 64 is around 620 $.*
To all these expenses would have to add the cost of the other components: about 100 $ in RAM, about 150 $ in HDD-SDD, more than 200 $ for a power supply that moves all that … In short, we would need a PC Of about 1600 $ to play Forza 7 in the same quality as Xbox One X. We have no doubt that as the requirements of the upcoming games are revealed that will become even more evident that Xbox One X is a real brown beast with very competitive price.
